People with LTC from California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Washington can bring in Texas. In Texas, a transportation license is no longer required if you meet the eligibility requirements. Beginning November 29, 2004, Texas Governor Rick Perry and Montana Attorney General Mike McGrath stated that individuals with a valid license to carry a gun can carry guns in Texas and Montana. To apply for a residency license, you must be a legal resident of Texas for six months or have moved with the intention of establishing residency in the state. All concealed carry permits from other states are accepted in Michigan, except for non-resident permits. Flowers of the Utah Department of Public Safety proclaimed that people with a valid license to carry a gun can carry guns in Texas and Utah.

For example, in Alabama, a Texas LTC is only recognized for license holders 21 and older. Department of State, Texas Occupations Code, Section 1701,357, and qualify for a firearms proficiency certificate. Individuals with an existing license can log in through the Texas DPS portal and complete an online renewal form. This proclamation is one-sided; Texas gun license holders will not be allowed to carry guns in Connecticut.
